TEAK BURMA SOLID FLOORING

Description

Teak Burma tends to be golden or medium brown color, with the color darkening with age.
The grains are straight, although they can sometimes be wavy or interlocked. Rough, uneven texture and medium to low natural shine. Raw, unfinished wood surfaces have a slightly greasy feel due to natural oils.
Teak has been considered by many to be the gold standard for rot resistance and its heartwood has been rated as very durable. Teak is also termite resistant.
Easy to work with in almost every way, with the only caveat that Teak contains a high level of silicon (up to 1.4%) which has a strong blunting effect on the cutting edges.
